What comes to mind when you hear the word “creativity”?
Imagination? Originality? Problem-solving?

As researchers, it's easy to get lost in the details of our work, focusing intensely on specific topics. However, cultivating a creative mindset can be a powerful tool to break out of our bubble, explore new perspectives, and fuel our research endeavors.

In science and arts alike, creativity appears magically as an unpredictable fountain of inspiration from the subconscious. Unexpected inputs have the power to disrupt conventional thinking. In the Feeding Scientific Creativity workshop, we invite researchers from ETH Zurich to embark on a journey of exploration and discovery. This workshop is designed to help participants unleash their creative potential, think outside the box, and approach their work with fresh eyes.

Interactive sessions and engaging activities with the participants from across ETH Zurich allows all to learn how to tap into their innate creativity, leverage it to overcome challenges, and foster a more innovative research environment.

Drawing inspiration from the concepts of Food Design, we will explore together the essence of creativity and its transformative power. From generating new ideas to reimagining existing concepts, participants will learn practical strategies to cultivate a creative mindset and apply it to their research endeavors. By embracing curiosity, participants will not only enhance their problem-solving skills but also, hopefully, find new joy and fulfillment in their own research work.
