World Food System Center Inauguration

ETH Zurich hosted the official inauguration event of the World Food System Center on Friday, 14 September 2012. The event showcased the work of the Center and some of its key partners towards addressing the critical issues of the world food system and the challenges of food and nutrition security.

Speakers included Prof. Roland Siegwart, ETH Vice President Research and Corporate Relations; Prof. Nina Buchmann, WFSC Director and Chair of Grassland Sciences; Prof. Johan Six, Chair of Sustainable Agroecosystems and member of the WFSC Steering Committee; Dr. Ian Roberts, Bühler CTO and member of the WFSC Partnership Council; and Dr. Martin Bloem, UN World Food Programme Chief of Nutrtion and HIV/AIDS Policy and member of the WFC Scientific Advisory Board.

Approximately 150 guests joined the event and had the opportunity to ask questions during a panel discussion with the keynote speakers.
