Our Common Food 2015
Our Common Food - Shaping Tomorrow's Food System
On March 19, 2015 the WFSC hosted the final event of the Our Common Food Start Up Programme for 2014-15. Eight start-ups participated with 2-minute pitches and competed for 2 awards presented by OGG (Ökonomische und Gemeinnützige Gesellschaft des Kantons Bern).
The OCF team, partners, and participants invited their friends, supporters, and other food system entrepreneurs for an interactive final event, which the World Food System Center hosted at ETH Zurich's Dozentenfoyer.
The evening offered an opportunity for representatives from across the food sustainability and entrepreneurship sectors to come together and discuss the innovations that will be shaping tomorrow's food systems. The OCF entrepreneurs presented their start-ups in short pitches and competed to win one of two OGG Start-up Awards.
Award Winners
The winner of the OGG Start Up Award for 2015 (8'000 CHF) was external pageMein Küchenchef and Mirko Buri.
The winner of the Audience Award (2'000 CHF) was external pageEssento and Matthias Grawehr.
As a knowledge partner, coach, and member of the award jury for the Our Common Food Programme, the WFSC was excited to see the progress each of the start-ups made over the course of 6 months and we look forward to following the progress of these new ventures.
