Public Lecture 2015
Elisabeth Kalko Memorial Lecture 2015
Food systems resilience in theory and practice: Organic agriculture as a prototype?
8 April 2015
Dr. Frank Eyhorn, HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation
Prof. Johan Six, ETH Zurich, Sustainable Agroecosystems Chair
The WFSC was pleased to welcome nearly 200 people to this public lecture, which highlighted some of the Center's flagship research on food systems resilience and a cross-disciplinary, cross-sector project involving the ETH Zurich's Sustainable Agroecosystem group and HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation.
The event was held in collaboration with the Annual Conference of the Society for Tropical Ecology and is part of the WFSC's public lecture series. It was made possible thanks to the Mercator Foundation Switzerland, whose support aims to explore the role and potential of organic farming systems (certified and non-certified) to contribute to global food security.
