Food Day @ETH 2021
World Food System Center Research Symposium 2021
Food Day @ETH 2021 took place at ETH Zurich on 05 November 2021. This public research symposium highlighted research that the World Food System Center Research Programs support as well as other food system relevant research conducted by our members and their groups at ETH Zurich, Agroscope, Eawag, Empa, and FiBL.
This year’s event focused on how collaborative research at ETH Zurich is contributing to food system transformation. The symposium included presentations from Center funded projects as well as a panel discussion with partners from industry, government and academia.
The presentation sessions featured inputs from four concluding research projects focused on (1) Adapting to Water Scarcity across Europe and (2) Assessing Organic Production Systems. These projects were supported by Mercator Research Program on Organic Production Systems and the Coop Research Program on Sustainability in Food Value Chains.
The networking poster session showcased posters displaying ongoing food system research and Center initiatives and offered participants the chance to interact directly with researchers. The online poster session allowed all to view this important research.
