Successful conclusion of South Africa Meets ETH Zurich
WFSC researchers have met with a delegation from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, to discuss plans to strengthen the ongoing collaboration between Stellenbosch University and ETH Zurich.
Researchers from the WFSC and Stellenbosch University (SU) met for a workshop to discuss plans for the continued partnership between the two universities. A Memorandum of Understanding between ETH Zurich and SU was signed in August 2014. Since then, five collaborative projects around sustainable agriculture and human nutrition have started. Delegates from SU visited ETH Zurich to meet with their colleagues from the WFSC and to leverage the positive experiences made so far to continue working towards solutions for food and nutrition security challenges in Africa.
The delegation from SU was joined by delegations from three other South African universities, University of Cape Town, University of Pretoria and University of the Witwatersrand in the framework of "South Africa meets ETH Zurich". For more information see here.
